New Hampshire Senior Golfer's Association

Divisions, Tee Times and Registering for Events Online

Divisions are calculated based upon a member's age as April 1, 2012.  In most events, prizes are awarded by division.

B - Division - ages 55-62
A - Division - ages 63-69
AA – Division - ages 70 – 74
AAA – Division - ages 75-79
Super Seniors Division – ages 80+

Competition for those in the AAA Division and Super Senior Division will be from the gold or a more forward tees.

Tee Times:  for each event, we normally run both the 1st Tee and the 10th Tee and do both AM and PM starting times.  The AM times usually begin from around 7:00 to 7:30 AM  and run until @ 9:30 AM with the later tee times usually beginning around Noon and run up to around 2:00 PM.

Please keep this in mind when requesting tee times by mail.

Those without a computer or Internet access, may request a coupon booklet so that you can register for events via mail.  Please be sure to adhere to the specified mail-in dates for each event.

BlueGolf only permits the person who is logged-in to sign-up, up to a foursome for any event. Once you have signed-up four using your user ID, you will not be permitted to sign up additional people for the same event. To sign-up an additional group(s), It would require signing in using another person's User ID and password.
If signing-up additional groups, you can still use your credit card to pay for the additional groups even if signed-in with some else's ID.
If registering a single or a twosome and you select a tee time, please be aware that you may be moved to the nearest available time that would allow us to create a threesome or foursome.

BlueGolf does not allow you to fill in an opening in a pairing. If you see a group or pairing you want to join, please register first (as a single), then contact me via email (info@nhsga.org) or call me (286-4268) to request to be put into a particular pairing or tee time.

We pay BlueGolf for each person who is registered to play in an event.  The cost to register a single is close to $2 and less than $4 to register a foursome.  The cost is somewhere in between when registering twosomes and threesomes.  So, we encourage you to register up to a foursome when possible, and then work out the finances among yourselves. Online Sign-ups for events in May, go active on April 18th, sign-ups for June events go active May 16th etc.  Sign-ups online open @ 7 AM - (usually the 3rd Wednesday).

The standard cancellation fee for all tournaments is $10.  If any questions, contact:  info@nhsga.org

Posting Scores:

Members must post their adjusted score from an event before their winnings (including "closest to the pin") will be mailed out. Know your GHIN #, there will be a computer at our scoring table where you can post your score immediately after play.

Scores from our events should be posted as an "Away" score, and not as a "Tournament Score".   This is a board policy and not subject to change. Please post using the correct course rating and slope for the tees you played in the event.

Please post all of your golf scores within three (3) days of play, to remain eligible for net prizes.  It is not good sportsmanship to wait for the next handicap update to post good scores. To post a score at the GHIN website, click here.
Adjusting scores before posting them:
All scores being posted need to be adjusted using what is called ESC (Equitable Stroke Control).  This means that if your course handicap falls within a certain range, you are capped at to the maximum number of strokes that you can take on any given hole.  This chart below comes directly from the USGA.  Please adjust all scores you post, no matter where you play.

Please refer to the table to the right -------->

How to adjust your score:

Course Handicap Maximum Number
9 or less Double Bogey
10-19 7
20-29 8
30-39 9
40 and above 10

Miscellaneous Information:

NewHampshireSeniorGA@BlueGolf.com
Cancellation fees:  The association pays BlueGolf a "transaction fee" for every person who is entered into an event. We also pay a fee when we have to cancel someone from an event.  The board has instituted a $10 cancellation fee. The NHSGA Board of Directors has approved the use of distance measuring devices (both laser and GPS units).

If there is a cancellation due to weather, it will be posted on our home page as soon as possible.  If in doubt, check our home page before leaving home.

If a member is a "no show" at an event and we are required to pay the course, there will be no refund.  The policy is subject to appeal by anyone with extenuating circumstance.  Such an appeal must be submitted in writing (or email) to Chuck Mitchell.

Those on the waiting list become eligible for play on the Friday preceding
an event if there are still openings.
